Something Short + Sweet

Hey mamas, sisters, and friends! I haven’t had the time to sit down and write out a thoughtful post recently. I have so many ideas coming to mind to share, but I can’t seem to make the time to write it all down. So for today, I plan to share a handful of ideas and thoughts–but it’ll be in short bites. Take what you need, or read it all. I’ve broken it up into the subtopics of my blog: Christian Living, Mom Blogs, and All Things Education.

Christian Living

Christianity is exclusive. To know Jesus is to surrender, abide, repent, obey, and love.

Growing in godliness is hard. Making it a priority to lay down my life for Christ every day can become a struggle–but it’s one that I pray God gives me the strength to do each and every day. The choice is yours to submit and follow.

Christianity isn’t true just because I’m a Christian. It’s absolute truth whether you’re Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, agnostic, atheist, etc. Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven. John 14:6

Eternal life in heaven comes to those who believe, follow, and surrender their lives to Christ. If not, then the pathway leads to an eternity in hell.

I pity those who do not have a true relationship with Christ…because I used to be there once. It was a life where I relied on myself for everything. I had voids of emptiness, though I lived with a facade where I thought the things of this world would fill me up and bring happiness. Truly, truly–I tell you, a life without Christ is a life of unknown misery.

Moms Blogs

Motherhood is a blessing. It is a gift that I learn to take more seriously each and every day. God entrusted me with souls to take care, nurture, and train up in the admonition of the Lord. I must do this job unto the Lord and serve with a grateful and selfless heart. Does that always happen? No. Because I’m a sinner and I fall short. But I repent, pray, and ask God to prune me to be better.

Going through three miscarriages showed me even more how God is the one who gives life and breath. On His time and His way.

Motherhood can be monotonous. Learn to embrace that and do your everyday tasks unto the Lord.

Slow down. What’s the rush? Why are we always in a hurry? Enjoy these little moments with our kiddos because they will be onto the next age and stage before you know it.

All Things Education

Read books. Listen to podcasts. But make sure they are rooted in trusted speakers and pastors. False teachers are everywhere.

Get off social media. You’re wasting your time.

Do your research on the different types of schools where you might send your child. Even better, look into homeschooling. If you have no idea how to do it…then take the initiative to learn with your kiddo along the way. You know your child better than any teacher ever will; therefore, you are the most qualified person to teach them.

Pick up a new hobby or skill. It’s never too late to learn.

I hope something resonated with you in today’s post! Whether you were intrigued, triggered, or thankful–I pray that seeds were planted. May the Lord use this for His glory. I recommend reading John 15 today. Be blessed, friends. Talk to you in the next one!

Welcome to Making Motherhood–where I’m all about sharing relatable content as a mom who’s literally putting the pieces of motherhood together as I go. I don’t have it all figured out by any means, but I do have the desire to share relatable content through my own experiences. And in today’s chaotic culture, maybe I can plant some seeds along the way to help you grow in a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a young mama, I’m here to support, play a part in, and befriend you through your own journey of making motherhood.
