Baby Products I Love and Recommend

In today’s blog, I wanted to share some of our most loved baby products that I use. These are items I used with my first, and have continued using with our second child. I hope you find this blog helpful, whether you’re a seasoned mom, first time mama, or a friend looking to purchase a gift for a mother-to-be’s baby shower. It’s always so fun seeing what other moms recommend, so I hope this blog finds you well.

When it comes to baby bath supplies, I go with the unscented products. Your baby’s skin is so soft and sensitive, so instead of using something with added scents–we just stick with what’s plain and effective. For soap, I use Aquaphor Unscented Baby Wash and Shampoo. I’m pretty sure one bottle of this lasted almost til our first daughter turned one! After her bath, we would lotion her up in the Pipette Fragrance Free Lotion. I chose this brand after our first daughter had a reaction with the popular Tubby Todd brand of lotions. We have had no problems since we switched to Pipette. If you do prefer having a smell to your lotions, they have some scented options as well. I use organic cotton Burt’s Bees washcloths and this classic Munchkin rinse cup to wash and rinse. I used two different baby bath tubs for each of my girls. Our first daughter used the Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Sling n’ Seat tub which worked out well for her. She was a smaller baby, and I feel like the sling to lay your baby in was great for her size, especially when she was a newborn. We used that tub up until her first birthday! I will caution and say you need to be sure you wash the sling now and again. For our second daughter, we got the Boon SOAK 3 Stage tub. We have enjoyed this baby tub being more minimal and also easy to use. The last thing I want to mention for bath baby products is this baby bath thermometer. As a first time mom, I wanted to make sure the water was the perfect temperature for our child’s skin. We’ve had this for almost two years now and still use it when giving both of our girls a bath!

The next items are some general baby products we use day in and day out. For starters, I want to share where baby sleeps before we move her into the crib. I have used this Papablic Baby Bassinet and Bedside Sleeper with both our girls. The height is adjustable, it’s a great size, and I love the look of it. Some moms love changing tables–which I did use the Keekaroo for our first baby–but after having our second, it seems like I just change her on the bed or wherever I am in the house. Because of that, I have absolutely loved these washable, reusable, and waterproof bed pads to lay baby down on when I change her. I have the 18x24in size. This was one of those purchases you don’t always think about, but is a total game changer to have lying around the house! Whenever baby looks like they might be getting a little diaper rash, our go-to cream is Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. I haven’t tried any other cream because this one works so well. The laundry detergent I use for all of our children’s clothes is Molly Sud’s. I have had great success with this clean ingredient and natural laundry detergent–it’s all I’ve ever used! Another bonus is how long the two-pack bags last me. The last two recommendations for the baby products I use throughout the week are the baby car mirror along with these Frida Baby nail clippers. The car mirror is a necessity for me. It stays on the back of the seat and has adjustable angles. We have one for both of the girls. And as for the nail clippers–they are a must buy when using on baby. I wouldn’t use them on newborn nails since their fingernails are so brittle, but after a couple months the Frida baby nail clippers are all I use when trimming our girls’ nails.

I hope there’s something you found useful with these baby product recommendations! I know when I was pregnant with my first I loved looking at what other moms were using. I plan to write more baby product recommendations in the future, so be on the lookout. Thanks for reading, and be blessed!
