A new year is upon us–hello 2025! In today’s blog, I wanted to share with you my 2025 Vision Board. If you recall, I made one last year. Click here to see my 2024 Vision Board. We definitely followed through on the ideas that I had for last year. What a blessing to see all those things come to pass. Thank you, Lord!
Now for me, a vision board is not something I create to ‘manifest’ those things into my life. Manifesting your desires and using your own ‘power of thought’ to make them come to life is self worship at its finest–which in turn, you have made yourself an idol. Only through the power of my Lord and Savior will His will be done. It is my job to pray and be obedient through the labor of my works that God provides these desires for our family. “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” –Psalm 37:4 When reading that verse, just remember: Obedience comes before blessings. Now let’s get into it!
I’ll list out each item on my vision board for 2025, from left to right in the order they appear, and then share a brief explanation. Tea Garden: I plan to have an area in our garden that is specifically for herbs and flowers that I can then turn into our own tea!
Canning/Food Preservation: At the end of last year, I started researching more about these two topics. I plan to start small with preserving pickles and tomatoes from our summer garden
Field: My main goal from this picture is to be outside more! It would also be a blessing to our family if we could purchase more land
Stack of Books: Along with reading the bible throughout the week (minimum 4x a week is a must), I am always trying to read more books. I got a kindle last year and really loved reading on it during the newborn season of nursing my second daughter, but I think I want to get back to paper books this year. Regardless, I’m filling up my home library!
Praying hands: We can all pray more! Can I get an amen? I want to be intentional about my prayer life this year, paired with more spiritual fasts, to grow in my relationship with the Lord
Family of five: Praying the Lord blesses my womb with another child and we make it full term to welcome a third blessing to our family in 2025
Goat Milk: Soo, I haven’t made a post about how we got goats! In December, we picked up three baby goats to join our small growing homestead. We may purchase another goat in milk this spring (to speed up the process), or wait to get milk once we breed these goats in the fall of 2025. Goat milking is on the agenda!
Matcha lattes: I drink an iced latte almost everyday from our home espresso machine. My plan is to start switching over to matcha instead of coffee. Not saying I’m cutting out coffee completely, but I would like to see how my body is impacted by switching to this type of caffeine over espresso
1 Peter 1:16: This was the verse our pastor blessed us with for 2025. Amen to that!
Composting: Because we are slowly making our home a homestead of self sufficiency, we need to start composting this year. The lack of waste combined with the benefits you get from your garden is a win-win
Serving: My husband and I started serving more at the end of last year. We plan to keep that up this year with volunteer opportunities through our church and local organizations with the goal of sharing the gospel
Spiritual fasts, family worship, and sober living: Three things I plan to continue doing more of and focus on this year
Soap Making: A fun, new DIY that adds to the farm life–both my and husband I want to do this hobby together
I hope this vision board encouraged you in some way today. Maybe to create your own, or to give you ideas for things to pursue in your own life this year. I pray 2025 is a year of blessings to you mamas, sisters, and friends!
